Silicon Valley billionaire Vinod Khosla, known for his support of Kamala Harris in the recent U.S. elections, recently took to social media to congratulate Elon Musk on Donald Trump’s victory. In a post on X, Khosla not only praised Musk’s influence in the election outcome but also shared his hopes for the new administration, outlining key areas where he hopes Musk will have an impact and specific actions he hopes Trump will reconsider.
“Congratulations, Elon Musk, on the win. Hopefully, you can get Trump to deliver on some of his promises—and avoid others,” Khosla wrote, addressing the tech mogul.
Khosla’s Vision for Trump’s Presidency
Khosla’s message went beyond congratulations; he took the opportunity to highlight areas where Musk’s influence might benefit the nation under Trump’s leadership.
“Let’s make the most of this for the country. For example, focusing on better regulation at the FDA, instead of RFK’s fringe science, would be helpful,” Khosla added, referencing Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is expected to play a prominent role in the Trump administration.
Khosla also urged the new administration to prioritize climate change, a cause Musk has championed. “Addressing climate, which you support, would be beneficial. Under MAGA, I hope we don’t abandon our allies, including Ukraine,” Khosla continued.
Addressing RFK Jr.’s Vaccine Views
Khosla’s mention of “RFK’s fringe science” was a pointed reference to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s controversial stance on vaccines. Kennedy, a vocal critic of mainstream vaccine safety, has drawn criticism from the medical community despite his popularity as a health advocate.
In response to this criticism, Kennedy stated in an NBC News interview, “I’m not going to take away anybody’s vaccines. If vaccines work for someone, I’m not stopping them. People should have a choice, informed by the best data available.” He pledged to ensure that safety studies and efficacy data are accessible to the public to enable informed choices about vaccines.
Musk’s Role in Trump’s Campaign
Khosla’s post joins a chorus of other high-profile endorsements of Musk’s involvement in Trump’s campaign. Mark Cuban and Naval Ravikant have also praised Musk’s role in supporting Trump’s victory. Musk’s stance, however, has polarized public opinion, and his recent disagreements with Khosla on X have underscored the tensions between the two on this platform.
