Tomorrow, the Maharashtra chief minister post will be resolved at a major NDA meeting in Delhi.

According to party sources, the BJP-led NDA will meet in New Delhi on Thursday, November 27, to talk about the position of chief minister of Maharashtra.

Ajit Pawar, Devendra Fadnavis, and Eknath Shinde are anticipated to attend the meeting, where they might talk with the top BJP leadership on the distribution of ministerial slots, cabinet shares, and the Chief Minister's position.

Additionally, according to sources, Shinde will meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah today with Shiv Sena MPs led by Shinde. During their meeting, Shinde is anticipated to discuss his position on the role of the Chief Minister.

According to what is known, the Shinde camp received some promises that Shinde would be appointed chief minister regardless of the number. The sources assert that although the Shinde camp is entitled to voice its opinion, the situation is still unclear.

Unease Regarding Maharashtra's CM Position
The discussion takes place as the results of the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections were just announced, raising tensions about the top position in the Mahayuti government.

On November 23, the Mahayuti alliance, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, easily crossed the magic number and won the elections. Over 131 seats were gained by the BJP, compared to 57 and 41 seats for the Shiv Sena and NCP, respectively.

Until the new leader is sworn in, Eknath Shinde, who resigned as chief minister on Tuesday, is acting as interim chief minister. On November 26, the present government's term came to an end.

In response to the ambiguity surrounding the Chief Minister's position, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said earlier today that a decision will be made shortly. "An answer to the Chief Minister's post discussion will be provided shortly. Together, the heads of the three parties will make the decision. "The seniors' discussions are ongoing," he informed the press.
