"Super High IQ, No Salary, 80-Hour Workweek": Elon Musk's DOGE Is Hiring

In a post on X, the recently established US department DOGE states, "We need super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting."

Under Donald Trump's second term as US president, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is co-headed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, has opened applications from potential employees. "High-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week" are needed for the position.

"The thousands of Americans who have shown interest in assisting us at DOGE are greatly appreciated. More part-time idea generators are not needed. In a post on X, the DOGE stated, "We need extremely intelligent small-government revolutionaries who are willing to put in more than 80 hours a week on unglamorous cost-cutting."

Musk and Ramaswamy themselves will analyze the top 1% of candidates. According to the post, those who are interested can apply for the position in the department's X DM.

The position does not require any particular training or work experience. To send a direct message (DM) to the DOGE's X account, applicants just need to validate their account, which costs $8 per month.

The White House will receive "advice and guidance" from the "Department of Government Efficiency," which Trump announced Tuesday. The department will collaborate with the Office of Management and Budget to "drive large scale structural reform, and create an entrepreneurial approach to Government never seen before."

Its acronym is DOGE, which is also the ticker symbol used by dogecoins, a type of cryptocurrency. It will be led by Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, a former GOP presidential contender.
