Polling Starts As Trump and Harris Face Off in an Exciting Match

Polling places have opened and voting has started in the US. Will Donald Trump launch a comeback following his turbulent campaign to avenge his 2020 defeat to Joe Biden, or will Kamala Harris become the first female president of the United States?

Both candidates have applied tremendous pressure to voters as polls throughout the nation begin to open, campaigning in crucial swing states in a last-ditch attempt to influence voters who are still undecided.

More than 75 million voters—nearly half of all 2020 ballots—have already cast their ballots early. Today, the countdown to a historic election continues as polling places open across the United States.

On November 6, voting will begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. IST and run until 6:30 a.m. (US time), with polling places open from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. In the meantime, authorities have taken a number of steps to increase security on Election Day and in the aftermath due to worries about possible political violence.
