Suryakumar Yadav was questioned by a fan on India's refusal to go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. He responded candidly.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently confirmed that the Indian cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, citing "security reasons." This decision has sparked widespread debate among fans and former cricketers, with many former Pakistan players arguing that the country is safe for visiting teams, including players from India. The discussion has even extended beyond the subcontinent, with cricket fans in South Africa weighing in on the matter.

India's T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, was recently asked by a fan why the team wouldn’t travel to Pakistan. The fan questioned, *"Mujhe ek baat bata saktein hai ke Pakistan kyu nahi aa rahe aap?"* (Can you tell me why you’re not coming to Pakistan?). Suryakumar responded candidly, saying that the decision was beyond the players' control: *"Arrey bhaiya, hamare hath mein thodi hai"* (Brother, it is not in our hands).

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering boycotting the tournament if India holds firm on its decision not to travel. According to a source quoted by *Dawn*, one option the Pakistani government is exploring is to ensure the PCB withdraws from the Champions Trophy under such circumstances. It’s also reported that Pakistan’s government is seriously evaluating the issue.

The 2025 Champions Trophy remains in limbo, though a hybrid model has reportedly been proposed by the BCCI. However, no immediate decision on this proposal is expected from the PCB.
