Market News Wrap: After bribery charges were clarified, Adani Group stocks rose; On the BSE, 380 equities touched the upper circuit.

Following the group's clarification that Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani, and Vneet Jain have not been charged with any FCPA violations in the counts outlined in the US Department of Justice's indictment or the US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) civil complaint, Adani Group stocks saw an impressive recovery.

Today's stock market: Investing in index heavyweights HDFC Bank, Adani Ports, and NTPC contributed to benchmark indices ending Wednesday, November 27, with gains of about 0.3%.
The NSE's NIFTY50 index closed at 24,274.90, up 80.40 points, or 0.33%, while the S&P BSE SENSEX ended at 80,234.08, up 230.02 points, or 0.29%.

Following the group's clarification that Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani, and Vneet Jain have not been charged with any FCPA violations in the counts outlined in the US Department of Justice's indictment or the US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) civil complaint, Adani Group stocks saw an impressive recovery.

"These directors have been charged on three counts in the criminal indictment, namely alleged securities fraud conspiracy, alleged wire fraud conspiracy, and alleged securities fraud," Adani Green stated in the court filing.

Following the development, all Adani Group equities saw significant rises. On the BSE, Adani Enterprises surged 11.56% to ₹2,398.35, while Adani Energy Solutions finished 10% higher at ₹661.25. While Adani Ports surged more than 6%, Adani Green also saw a 10% increase.

Stocks That Buzz
On Wednesday, shares of NTPC Green Energy Ltd., the company's renewable energy division, were listed at a premium of more than 3% above the ₹108 issue price.

On the BSE, the shares debuted at ₹111.60, up 3.33% from the issue price. It then increased by 12.40% to ₹121.40.

It listed at ₹111.50 on the NSE, up 3.24%.

Later on, though, the stock surged up to 13.5% to reach a peak of ₹122.65.

Fedbank Financial Services: The BSE saw a 20% increase in the stock price, reaching 113.80 baht. According to the corporation, the BSE has asked for clarification over the November 27, 2024, article on apnnews.com that stated, "South Indian Bank and Fedbank Financial Services Limited Forge an Alliance for Joint Lending Initiatives."
The stock gained 12.76%, closing at 106.95 naira.

Aster DM Healthcare: On Wednesday, November 27, Aster DM Healthcare's shares closed more than 9% higher on the NSE at ₹480 each after the business revealed its intention to buy the remaining 13% of the Kolhapur-based Aster Aadhar Hospital.

With 4,040 equities trading on the BSE, 2,593 saw gains, 1,338 saw declines, and 109 scrips stayed the same, the market breadth favored the winners.

Additionally, 37 scrips reached their 52-week lows and 216 equities reached their 52-week highs.

A Wider Market
The BSE MidCap index closed at 45,957.59, up 0.34%, while the BSE SmallCap index ended 1.18% higher at 54,560.93 levels.
