With at least 56 of 81 seats in the assembly up for grabs, Chief Minister Hemant Soren's JMM-led alliance looks to be in a strong position for another term in office.

At least 236 seats were held by the Mahayuti coalition of the BJP, Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party in Maharashtra, with the BJP holding a 133-seat majority. The assembly has 288 seats, with 145 being the halfway point. The Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra), and the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) make up the Maha Vikas Aghadi.

With at least 56 of the 81 assembly seats up for grabs, Chief Minister Hemant Soren's JMM-led alliance in Jharkhand looks to be headed for second term in a row. 41 is the majority mark. In just 24 seats, the National Democratic Alliance, led by the BJP, is in the lead.

Additionally, the vote-counting process for 15 assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala, West Bengal, and Uttarakhand is currently under progress.
