Karoline Leavitt, 27, is appointed White House Press Secretary by Trump

Leavitt will be among the youngest individuals to assume the crucial role, serving as the White House's spokesperson and answering inquiries from the press.

Washington: Karoline Leavitt, a 27-year-old campaign spokesperson, was named president-elect Donald Trump's White House press secretary on Friday.

In addition to being tough and intelligent, Leavitt has demonstrated exceptional communication skills. Trump stated in a statement, "I am absolutely certain that she will be a great speaker and help convey our message to the American people."

According to reports, Leavitt is the youngest individual to assume the important role, serving as the spokesperson for the White House and answering inquiries from the press.

According to a Fox News podcast that was made available online on Friday, she gave birth to her first child in July while serving as Trump's national press secretary during his campaign.

She served as Trump's first-term assistant press secretary before making an unsuccessful 2022 run for a House of Representatives seat from her home state of New Hampshire.

Additionally, she served as Congresswoman Elise Stefanik's communications director. Trump has nominated Stefanik to be the ambassador to the United Nations.

"I was not raised in a political household. In my native New Hampshire, I was raised in a middle-class business family like the majority of Americans," she said on the Fox News podcast. "I just dove into politics at my college, Saint Anselm College, in Manchester (New Hampshire)."
