Joseph Prabhu, the father of Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is no longer with us.

Joseph Prabhu, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's father, has died. In a heartbreaking post on Instagram Stories, the actress wrote, "Until we meet again, Dad," and included a broken heart emoji.

Joseph and Ninette Prabhu welcomed Samantha into the world in Chennai. An important part of her life and upbringing was her father, who is Telugu Anglo-Indian. Despite her work obligations, Samantha always talked positively about her family and the encouragement they provided her with during her career in show business. Following the announcement of her father's death, fans and well-wishers have sent the actress their condolences during this trying time.

Samantha recently discussed her "tense" relationship with her father, Joseph Prabhu, and how it impacted her self-esteem. She talked about how her personal path was impacted by her issues with finding validation in an interview with Galatta India.

As a child, I had to struggle for approval all my life. My father was somewhat like... That's probably how most Indian parents are. She started, "They believe they are defending you." Samantha described how her father used to minimize her skills. In fact, he informed me, 'You're not that intelligent. This merely represents the norm for schooling in India.

Nearly a year after Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's marriage ended in October 2021, Samantha's father, Joseph Prabhu, took to Facebook to reminisce and post old wedding photos. He had stated that he hoped to start a new chapter in his life and that it took him a long time to accept their separation.
