Israel After Flash Bombs Were Fired at Netanyahu's House: "Crossed All Red Lines"

Israel After Flash Bombs Were Fired at Netanyahu's House: "Crossed All Red Lines"

According to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, the event went above "all red lines" in an early Sunday post on X.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in the northern town of Caesarea was targeted by two flash bombs on Saturday; the Defense Minister claimed that the act had "crossed all red lines."

The police stated in a statement that no damage was detected and that neither Netanyahu nor his family were present when the flash bomb detonated in his home's lawn.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Iran and its proxies are trying to harm the Israeli prime minister, adding that the incident broke "all red lines."

"The Israeli prime minister, who faces threats from Iran and its proxies who are attempting to kill him, cannot be subjected to the same threats from within," Katz stated.

According to sources, Israeli officials have opened an inquiry to determine the perpetrator of the act. They also stated that no immediate claim of responsibility for Saturday's event has been made.

The event occurs one month after Hezbollah, a militant organization supported by Iran, claimed responsibility for a drone assault that was said to have targeted the same residence.

Netanyahu claimed at the time that Hezbollah had tried to kill him and his wife.

The President of Israel denounces the incident

In a post on X, Israeli President Isaac Herzog denounced the incident and stated that an investigation was in progress.

In a post on X, Herzog stated, "I have now had a conversation with the head of the Shin Bet and conveyed the pressing necessity to look into and deal with those who are accountable for the incident as soon as possible."

"The incitement against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu transcends all boundaries," stated Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. It's another red line to throw a flash bomb into his house tonight.

After nearly a year of sparse, cross-border gunfights sparked by Hezbollah militants over the conflict in Gaza, Israeli forces have been exchanging gunfire with Lebanon's armed Hezbollah group since September of last year. They have also sent in ground troops.
