Another arrest has been made by Canada's Peel Regional Police in connection with the Khalistani attack on a Brampton Hindu temple. Inderjeet Gosal, 35, of Brampton, has been identified as the accused and charged with assault with a weapon.At Brampton's Hindu Mandir, a group of demonstrators brandishing placards in support of Khalistan interrupted an Indian official's consular function last week. Outside the shrine, the demonstrators allegedly beat people with sticks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau both denounced the event.
The Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) staged a protest against the "Khalistani intimidation" and "anti-Hindu" bigotry following recent attacks on Hindu temples in Canada, and the police had said that they had arrested three people.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that New Delhi is "deeply concerned" about the safety and security of Indian citizens in Canada following the attack on Hindu worshipers in Brampton.
