Have you looked over PM's bags? According to Uddhav Thackeray, his suitcase was examined prior to the event.

In the video, which was most likely taken by Uddhav Thackeray himself, he asks the poll authorities if they check PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah's bags when they travel to Maharashtra to speak at rallies.

Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), shared a video of election authorities frisking his bags at the Wani helipad in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra on Monday, angering him. After election officials examined Thackeray's helicopter, he arrived in Yavatmal to campaign for the Assembly votes.

Poll workers frequently conduct surprise checks in accordance with the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) to stop the transfer of cash and gifts to entice voters.

Thackeray is seen in the film, which was most likely taken by him, asking the poll workers if they frisk the luggage of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his deputy deputies Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis.

The former chief minister can also be heard inquiring as to whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi's and Home Minister Amit Shah's baggage are inspected by electoral officials when they travel to Maharashtra to speak at rallies.

When the officials reviewed the party workers' identity cards, Thackeray asked them to look at them as well.

"I shall fulfill my responsibilities, and you are carrying them out... Did you check Modi and Shah's baggage the same way you checked mine?" he inquired.

According to Thackeray, who resigned as chief minister in 2022 after Eknath Shinde incited a rebellion in the Shiv Sena, Maha Vikas Aghadi volunteers would examine the bags of ruling alliance politicians if the poll officials did not.

"I don't think this is democratic; all these pointless things are happening. Democracy cannot exist here. Thackeray was reported by PTI as stating, "No one is big or small in a democracy."

Later, when speaking at a rally for Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Sanjay Derkar in Wani, Thackeray mentioned the incident. When prominent representatives of the ruling alliance come to campaign, voters have the right to check their baggage, he said.

In a jab at the ruling Mahayuti, which is made up of the BJP, Ajit Pawar's NCP, and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, the UBT also shared the video on X.

"We want equitable justice for all people in accordance with Babasaheb Ambedkar's Constitution. At every level, those in power have chosen to violate that Constitution by stifling democracy. Some officials searched Uddhav Thackeray's bags today. The party tweeted that "a similar inspection of traitors' belongings must be done as well."
