The newest celebrity to publicly endorse Donald Trump is Sylvester Stallone, 78, who is the same age as Trump. Earlier this month, at a lavish gathering at the Mar-a-Lago resort, the Hollywood legend compared Trump to famous historical characters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stallone called Trump a "mythical character," likening him to Jesus Christ and even to George Washington, the founding father of the United States.
The actor, who led New York's Trump Organization and whose career spanned Trump's early years as a real estate tycoon, spoke to the audience in a show of respect for the incoming president.
Famed for his part in the 'Rocky' movie series, Stallone said he was amazed by Trump's accomplishments and that no one else could have done what he has.
Stallone said to the crowd, "We're in the presence of a really mythical character," and he went on to say, "I love mythology." And there is no such person on this earth. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "I'm in awe of him because no one in the world could have done what he did."
