Live election results: By a mere 208 votes, Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole defeated his BJP opponent Avinash Brahmankar to retain the Sakoli assembly seat. Brahmankar came in second with 96,587 votes, while Patole received 96,795 votes.

With 18,309 votes, independent candidate Somadatta Karanjekar came in third.
