"To help you keep up with conversations no matter what you're doing," voice messages on WhatsApp can now be converted to text.
New Delhi: WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has added a function that allows voice messages to be converted into text, "to help you keep up with conversations no matter what you're doing."Over the next several weeks, transcripts will be made available worldwide in a limited number of languages. The business intends to add more languages in the upcoming months.
WhatsApp claimed in a blog post that voice messaging adds a personal touch to communication with friends and family.
Hearing your loved one's voice, even if they live far away, is a unique experience. However, there are instances when you're moving, in a noisy environment, or you get a lengthy voicemail that you simply can't stop to listen to," the social media business continued.
"You can transcribe a voice message by touching on 'transcribe' after long pressing the message. We can't wait to improve and streamline this experience more," WhatsApp stated.
The Message Drafts feature, which was just released by the Meta-owned startup, tackles a common problem: forgetting to send an incomplete message.
