Fearing a "extremely high level of violent protests," the Brampton Triveni Mandir and Community Center has canceled a Life Certificate Event.

On November 17, a consular camp was planned for Sikhs and Hindus of Indian descent to renew their necessary life certificates. "Please be advised that the Life Certificate Event scheduled at Brampton Triveni Mandir by the Indian Consulate on November 17, 2024, has been cancelled," the temple management said in a statement released on Monday, November 11, 2024. According to Peel Regional Police's official information, there is an Extremely High and Imminent Threat Level of violent protests.
