In a news conference following the bout, Jake Paul said that he "didn't want to hurt" Mike Tyson. By unanimous decision, the YouTuber-turned-boxer defeated the great boxer in the much-anticipated fight that was livestreamed on Netflix on Friday night.

Jake Paul says that during the Netflix battle, he was gentle with Mike Tyson.

When the 27-year-old realized Tyson was having trouble keeping up with him, he deliberately went it easy on him, he told reporters. Speaking about the 58-year-old in the post-fight interview, Paul stated, "I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn't want to hurt someone that didn't need to be hurt."

When Paul stood on Tyson's foot during the pre-match event, Tyson slapped him, sparking a dispute. He was wearing shoes, while I was still in my socks. "He is a f**king a**hole, which is why he stepped on my toe," the former heavyweight champion told the New York Post.

Paul also accused Tyson of making the contest "boring." According to the former influencer, Tyson, who is considered to be among the best boxers of all time, was "just surviving" rather than engaging in combat, which made the bout uninteresting. "I don't care that I couldn't really get him to interact with me, take a few shots, or do something really awesome."
