Kailash Gahlot was a well-known political figure in Delhi and a senior AAP leader. In the Delhi government, he was a cabinet minister who oversaw important portfolios like IT, law, revenue, and transportation.
Gahlot stated today in a one-page letter of resignation that the AAP is facing significant obstacles. "Challenges from within," he stated, "to the very values that brought us together to AAP." "Our dedication to people has been eclipsed by political aspirations, leaving many pledges unmet. For instance, we never got around to making the YAMUNA a clean river, contrary to our commitment. The Yamuna River is possibly even more contaminated now than it was in the past," he stated.Aside from this, the former minister claimed that there were numerous "embarrassing and awkward controversies like the 'SHEESHMAHAL'," which are now leading people to question whether we still consider ourselves to be the "AAM AADMI."
Another sad issue raised by Gahlot was that the AAP has been battling more and more for its own political agenda rather than for the rights of others. "This has made it extremely difficult for us to provide Delhi residents with even the most basic services. It is clearly clear that if the Delhi government spends most of its time arguing with the Center, no genuine progress can be made for Delhi.
I began my political career with the intention of serving the Delhi populace, and I intend to keep doing so. I now resign from my primary membership in the Aam Aadmi Party, as I am left with no choice but to leave the AAP."
Virendraa Sachdeva, the president of the Delhi BJP, claimed that Gahlot had shown Kejriwal the mirror and informed him that he did not wish to be associated with "Arvind Kejriwal and his 'lootera' gang." "Kailash Gahlot has taken a very courageous step and we appreciate this."

Gahlot has been re-elected several times and serves as the Delhi Legislative Assembly's representative for the Najafgarh seat. Gahlot was one of the leading candidates for the position of chief minister following Kejriwal's resignation. But Kejriwal chose Atishi for the top position instead of Gahlot.
