A day after Netanyahu's "admission" to the pager attack, Hezbollah launches 165 rockets at Israel: Report

Israel

At least seven people, including a one-year-old girl, were injured after Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets into northern Israel on Monday. This attack came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed his country’s involvement in a recent drone strike against Hezbollah in Beirut, an operation he personally authorized, as reported by *The Times of Israel*.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared a video on X showing the aftermath of one of the strikes, stating, "*#Northern_Israel_Is_Under_Attack We will continue to defend our civilians against Hezbollah's aggression.*"

According to *The Times of Israel*, more than 165 rockets were fired, resulting in injuries to seven people, including a one-year-old girl. The infant, a 27-year-old woman, and a 35-year-old man sustained injuries from shrapnel in the town of Bi'ina and were subsequently taken to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. The IDF reported that around 50 rockets were directed at the Galilee facility, with several others hitting the Karmiel area and nearby towns.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility, stating it targeted a "training base for the Paratroopers Brigade in the Karmiel settlement."

Later, in what *The Times of Israel* described as "one of the largest attacks amid the fighting," Hezbollah launched 90 rockets in two waves at the port city of Haifa. During the first barrage of 80 rockets, Israel’s air defenses intercepted most, though some still hit nearby towns. The second barrage of 10 rockets was either intercepted or landed in open areas.

Following the strikes on Haifa, the IDF responded by deploying a drone to destroy the Hezbollah rocket launcher involved in the attack.
