Balasubramanian Ramesh allegedly targeted the four women over the course of 14 hours. He is set to enter a guilty plea on December 13 and faces a maximum prison sentence of 21 years.The claimed event occurred on November 18 between 3.15 am and 5.30 pm.
Ramesh was charged with seven counts of molestation when he appeared in a Singaporean court on November 25.
He allegedly targeted one woman four times and the other three ladies once each, according to court documents, The Straits Times said.
A gag order has been put in place to protect the victims' identities, so information about them—including whether they were passengers or crew members—has not been made public.
It is reported that each victim experienced molestation at a different time of day.
Ramesh allegedly abused his first victim around 3:15 in the morning, starting the claimed incident. He allegedly targeted a second woman five minutes later. He allegedly molested the second victim three more times between 3.30 and 6 in the morning.
According to reports, Ramesh insulted a third woman's modesty at 9.30 am. At 5:30 p.m., the last event is said to have happened.
Every molestation charge in Singapore is punishable by up to three years in prison, a fine, or both.
Although caning is a possible punishment for molestation in Singapore, Ramesh is not liable to it because of his age, as caning is not applied to offenders over 50.
